Why buying in bulk really gets you more bang for your buck

We all want to save money but, does buying in bulk really get you more bang for your buck? The answer depends on what you buy.

William Scallion is a manager at the Sam’s Club in North Austin. “Any of your paper good items are the things people are going to buy,” Scallion said.

He tells CBS Austin toilet paper and paper towels are top sellers at Sam’s Club because the value is unmatched. 45 mega rolls of Sam’s Club’s store brand toilet paper will get you about 1,400 square feet and costs $22.58. To get the same amount of H-E-B’s store brand mega rolls you will have to buy seven six-packs at $6.42 a piece for nearly $45. Going with the bulk option will save you $22.36.
