Universe Group plc (LON: UNG), a leading developer and supplier of point of sale, payment and loyalty systems, today announced the launch of an in-store scan and go app in partnership with Ubamarket. The Group has integrated this new functionality into its EPOS solutions to offer an end-to-end shopping experience which is now accessible for the convenience store market.
The app allows customers to complete their food shopping purchases using their mobile phone and has the ability to locate the goods on their shopping list and guide the customer around the store. Its creation speeds up service and allows customers to pay at the checkout using a QR (“Quick Response”) code or through in-app payment methods which removes the need for customers to queue or unload items. The app is the only one on the market which offers an end-to-end solution including shopping list, product locations, loyalty, scan and go technology and product offers.
