This is how much it now costs to buy a property in your area

Property does not come cheap and the value of a house has risen by a staggering amount in recent years. House prices across the country have leaped up over the last 25 years, according to research by Compare My Move.

Looking at the 50 biggest cities in the UK, the study revealed how the cost of buying a house has risen by hundreds of thousands of pounds. How has the price changed in your area?

In February 1995, the average price of a property in London was a modest £73,227, however this jumped up to £488,527 in July 2017.
