We delve into the history of the Swedish luxury car company Koenigsegg. It was in 1994 when this firm was launched into the world thanks to a young Christian von Koenigsegg who, at just 22 years old, wanted to pursue his dream: to build the largest super sports car in the world. Ambitious or not, it was a dream and as such it had to be fulfilled.
Two years later, the first creation with the Koenigsegg label was introduced, for which it took two years of work. Pilots such as Rickard Rydell, Picko Troberg and Calle Rosenblad were fascinated after trying it out. It was time to introduce the brand to potential buyers around the world. And for this, the Cannes Film Festival was chosen. Its success was immediate.
Surface Transforms plc (LON:SCE) are experts in the development and production of carbon-ceramic materials and the UK’s only manufacturer of carbon-ceramic brakes for automotive use. Koenigsegg nominated SCE as a tier one sole supplier on their Gemera car.
