A SEDGEFIELD based company has been granted a $5.2 million contract extension by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop a device to identify pathogens .
The project is to develop technology to detect and identify pathogens in an urban environment.
Kromek, a worldwide supplier of detection technology focusing on the medical, security screening and nuclear markets,has announcd that it has been awarded an extension to its contract by DARPA, an agency of the US Department of Defence.
Kromek Group plc designs, develops and produces x-ray and gamma-ray imaging and radiation detection products for the medical, CBRNe security, Homeland Security and civil nuclear radiation detection markets.
