In Italy, however, all the venerable coffee houses have stone bars, so the sparkling new Starbucks Reserve Roastery, which officially opens to the public in Milan September 7 , does too. Marble counters throughout, from an esteemed Calacatta quarry, are gently raised a few degrees with a hidden radiant heating system, explains SVP Creative, Global Design, and Innovation Liz Muller.
