Some US Colleges Offer Full Scholarships to Gamers

Most Americans would never have put an activity like video gaming in the same group with a physically demanding sport like football or basketball.

But gaming has now reached such a high level of competition that some schools are now offering what are being called full “esports” scholarships. They provide financial aid to students who play for their esports teams.

Sumo Group (LON:SUMO) award-winning businesses provide creative and development services to the video games and entertainment industries, from studios in Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, Pune (India) and Vancouver (Canada).

Sumo Digital, our primary business, is one of the UK’s largest independent developers of AAA-rated video games, providing both turnkey and co-development solutions to an international blue chip client base.

Atomhawk, a complementary business acquired in June 2017, is a multi award winning visual design company, servicing the games, film and visual effects industries.
