Singapore to cut the use of cash

Singaporeans are adopting online payments with such gusto that the Government is hoping that the country will be cheque-free by 2025.

The latest step will allow business owners and the Government to receive payments instantaneously, without having to disclose details such as bank account numbers.

This is made possible with the expansion of the PayNow transfer service to include businesses.

PayNow Corporate will start at 8am on Aug 13, the Association of Banks in Singapore  announced yesterday.

Vipera (LON:VIP) is a true pioneer; present at the dawn of mobile banking over a decade ago, enabling the first steps taken by banks to provide a smartphone based customer experience.

Today Vipera’s proprietary bank-grade platform Motif powers over 4 million apps across the globe for the world’s leading banks & retailers, enabling mobile banking, mobile payments and mobile marketing at the frontier of market possibilities.
