Morrisons strikes deal to rollout rapid EV chargers at UK supermarkets

Morrisons has teamed up with ChargePoint Services on a plan to install rapid electric vehicle chargers across its supermarkets nationwide, enabling customers to power up their EVs within around 20 minutes while they shop in store.

Businesses and retailers are increasingly teaming up with EV specialists to install charge points for the use of customers across their sites.

Late last year Tesco announced plans to install 2,400 EV charging bays across its UK stores with help from Pod Point, while pub chain Marston’s is currently in the midst of rolling out 400 chargers across its UK sites. A host of other retailers are pursuing similar plans as they seek to keep pace with the growth of the UK’s EV fleet.
