Microsaic Systems plc Exclusive US and Canada Distribution Agreement

Glenn Tracey, CEO of Microsaic, commented, “I am extremely pleased to partner with iChrom to distribute our compact, point of need MS technology, alongside their impressive technology portfolio. The team at iChrom has the in-depth technical expertise, and full reach of end user applications, particularly in drugs of abuse and small molecule pharmaceuticals.

“Clearly, North America is a well-established market for analytical chemistry, and this marks another milestone in what we expect to be a very exciting period of growth for Microsaic, now with seven distribution and OEM agreements signed in 2018 across North America, Europe, China, Taiwan and Malaysia”

Microsaic Systems plc (LON: MSYS), the developer of point of need mass spectrometry  instruments, today announced that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Spark Holland Inc doing business as iChrom Solutions to distribute Microsaic-branded 4500 MiD® MS detector in the US and Canada.

As a full-service instrument distributor, iChrom serves several industries including drugs of abuse (DOA), clinical chemistry, and drug development in both the small molecule pharmaceutical area and protein characterization. iChrom’s targeted industries include environmental toxicology and forensic/DOA toxicology testing.

iChrom has developed strategic partner relationships with several global instrument and consumable suppliers to expand offerings for a more comprehensive portfolio of high-quality instruments and accessories. These notable partners include Knauer Wissenschaftliche Geraete GmbH, Spark Holland BV, Axel Semrau GmbH & Co. KG, DataApex and American Chromatography. The combination of iChrom’s instrument portfolio focus and its expertly trained staff delivers a dedicated and bespoke service with a successful track record.

John Crutchfield, President of iChrom, added: “The added sensitivity and selectivity provided by the unique design of the 4500 MiD MS detector offers our diverse clientele more flexibility in the types of samples they can analyze. Combined with our other hyphenated chromatography techniques of UHPLC, online SPE, and advanced sample processing, we now provide our clients with a fully automated analytical system capable of handling some of the most challenging sample matrices in the marketplace.”
