Manheim week sales record broken at Marshall auction

Part of a “mega-week” event, the auctioneer beat its previous week record of 815, and achieved a combined sales value of £4.6m.

The event saw 1,100 vehicles from the Marshall Motor Group go through Manheim’s auction lanes.

Jon Head, commercial director at Marshall Motor Group, said: “We hold mega-week events twice a year at Manheim as part of our stock disposal strategy, and there’s always a real feeling of anticipation in the run up to the events.

“We’re delighted to have broken our record for the number of vehicles sold in a week, a great achievement given the market conditions.”

Marshall Motors (LON:MMH) The Group’s principal activities are the sale and repair of new and used vehicles. The Group’s businesses have a total of 106 franchises covering 23 brands, operating from 84 locations across 27 counties in England. In addition, the Group operates five trade parts specialists, three used car centres, five standalone body shops and one pre delivery inspection centre.
