Manchester will increase employment levels during year of Brexit uncertainty – claims new study

Manchester is set to outperform London in employment growth post- Brexit , a new study has claimed.

The economic report by law firm Irwin Mitchell and the Centre for Economics and Business Research predicts what the impact of leaving the EU will be on the UK economy.

The research suggests that more people will be employed within Manchester in 2019 Q3 than they were in the same period last year.

Established companies such as AO.com and Boohoo.com contribute to the city’s success, while many new start-ups are also stimulating economic activity, with businesses showing strengths in software development, IoT (internet of things), data analytics and IT services.

Boohoo Group PLC (LON:BOO) operates as an online fashion retailer in the United Kingdom, rest of Europe, the United States, and internationally. The company also provides its products under the boohoo, boohooMAN, PrettyLittleThing, and Nasty Gal brand names.
