Live Company Group (LON:LVCG) today announced that it has taken the positive decision to promote, manage and operate the Group’s flagship UK BRICKLIVE show in 2019. Following the acquisition of Bright Bricks Holdings Limited in 2018, LVCG’s board of directors believes that the Group is now ideally placed to promote and run the show. The Group is therefore pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with The National Exhibition Centre Limited to host BRICKLIVE’s UK flagship show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham from 31 October 2019 to 3 November 2019 (the “NEC Show”).
David Ciclitira, the Group’s Executive Chairman, commented: “This marks another important development for the Group, whereby we will be promoting, managing and operating our flagship BRICKLIVE show in the UK. The NEC Show has continued to expand its offering, attracting an ever increasing number of fans. We are therefore delighted to be managing and hosting the show for the first time and believe it will have a positive impact for the Group.
Following the acquisition of Bright Bricks and together with our expanded team, we are now ideally placed to promote, operate and manage our flagship UK show. This is incredibly exciting time for the Group and it promises to be a very interactive show.
We are delighted Sarah will be joining the Group, as she has significant experience running and managing the Bricklive Shows at the NEC, having managed this event in her previous role. Sarah brings a substantial amount of event management experience and will be a fantastic addition to the LVCG team.”
This will be the first year the Group will be responsible for the promotion, management and operation of the NEC Show. The Board believes that, whilst this will result in a greater outlay for the Group in hosting the NEC Show, the Group expects to benefit from increased revenue through the receipt of all ticket and commercial sales for the NEC Show, having previously only received a content and licence fee.
The Group will also showcase its new touring asset, BRICKLIVE Force and BRICKLIVE Outerspace at the NEC Show. The Group will also be introducing a new format for the NEC Show which will include half-day sessions and will include the introduction of other new features currently not exhibited elsewhere. The Group is continually reviewing the format for its shows, together with the introduction of new innovative content to ensure the Group’s flagship show at the NEC remains the benchmark for future BRICKLIVE shows and events.
The Group is also pleased to announce that Sarah Whittaker will be joining the Group as Chief Marketing Officer at the beginning of May 2019. Sarah will be responsible for running the NEC Show and will manage other BRICKLIVE shows and events, both in the UK and Europe. Sarah brings a significant amount of experience to the Group having managed BRICKLIVE events at the NEC for the previous promoter and previous to that, worked with the NEC for over 5 years.
