How gaming is boosting the UK stockmarket

Generating $116bn of revenue last year, the video games market is the world’s largest form of entertainment and it’s still growing by 5%-10% per annum.

The UK has a rich heritage in the sector and is home to more than 2,000 games companies, employing 18,500 people.

In recent years, the number of games companies listed on the UK stockmarket has increased.

Sumo Group (LON:SUMO) award-winning businesses provide creative and development services to the video games and entertainment industries, from studios in Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, Pune (India) and Vancouver (Canada).
