Glasgow is expected to have 25,000 electric car drivers by 2024 as the city continues to drive down fuel emissions.
And local authority bosses are preparing to replace 100 diesel cars and vans in their fleet with new state-of-the-art electric vehicles.
Currently, the city is meeting the Scottish Government target for cutting emissions by 56 percent by 2020.
But a new strategy, which aims to install 70 car charging points as well as piloting an electric bin lorry and electric taxi ranks is currently being drawn up.
