AdEPT was originally established in 2003 as a consolidator to the fragmented fixed line telephony market in the UK.  AdEPT was floated on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in February 2006.  The AdEPT Team is highly experienced in the acquisition process and integration of customer bases and has completed 22 acquisitions since AdEPT started in 2003, 19 of which have been fully integrated into the head office in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.  The more recent acquisitions of Centrix Limited and Comms Group (UK) Limited, the Company has two further sites.  One based in Fleet, Hampshire which provides specialist Avaya Aura solutions for large commercial and public sector customers and a second site in Northampton which provides Avaya IP-Office solutions for small and medium sized entities.

 

Commercial customers

AdEPT’s commercial customers range from very small businesses to nationwide chains with hundreds of branches. The Company provides a complete unified communications portfolio of fixed line calls, line rental, mobile, broadband, data connectivity products (ranging from a simple 2Mb broadband through to a 10 Gigabit Optical connection), hardware, managed services, Wi-Fi and IP telephony.  AdEPT also provide cloud-based contact centre solutions to the airline, travel, cinema and insurance sectors.

Public Sector customers

AdEPT provide telecom services to County Councils, Town Councils and Ministry of Justice Probation Services. They have hundreds of Universities, Colleges and Schools as customers.

Having Government Framework Agreements mean that customers do not have to run their own tenders and can implement savings programmes rapidly.

adEPT commercial service supplierAdEPT Telecom is one of only a small number of companies awarded a Network Services Framework by the Crown Commercial Service for the supply of calls, lines, broadband, SIP, data connectivity, hardware and unified communications to UK Central Government agencies.  The Crown Commercial Service Telephony Services Framework can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not for profit organisations.

Joint Academic NetworkAdEPT Telecom is one of a small number of companies approved under a Joint Academic Network (JANET) Framework Agreement to sell data connectivity and multi-site data networks to around 3-4,000 UK Colleges and Universities.

AdEPT is a member of INNOPSIS, the trade association for telecom suppliers to the Public Sector.  Chief Executive, Ian Fishwick, is the SME Director of INNOPSIS and is the man responsible for working with the Crown Commercial Service to ensure Telecom SME’s get better access to public sector contracts.  Ian Fishwick is also a member of the Cabinet Office SME Panel which comprises of a number of senior business leaders, from a variety of industries across the UK.  The role of the SME Panel is to advise the government on ways to make it easier for SME’s to sell to the public sector.
