Caribbean Tourism Organization Declares 2019 the “Year of Festivals”

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has declared 2019 the Year of Festivals in the Caribbean. According to CTO’s secretary general Hugh Riley, the program will highlight the various music, art, sailing, lights, food, rum, religious, literary and dance festivals celebrated throughout the region

Next year’s marketing program follows 2018’s successful Year of Rejuvenation campaign. The organization will promote the 2019 Year of Festivals over social media and traditional media channels. Additionally, it will assist member countries with a variety of promotional concepts and opportunities centered on the theme of festivals, appealing to consumers and travel professionals.
