Big advice firms need to do more to grow young talent says SimplyBiz chief

Speaking to New Model Adviser®, Matt Timmins said firms with ‘deep pockets’ such as St. James’s Place (SJP) and Quilter need to do more to entice youth to a career in financial advice.

‘The likes of SJP, Quilter and other restricted businesses have a responsibility to bring in new blood and they have the deep pockets to do it. It is a really, really good profession and I don’t understand why the industry doesn’t inject more young people,’ he said
