Appalachian Basin gas production is on the rise and is expected to push the U.S. to a new record this year.
The Energy Information Administration forecast dry natural gas production in the U.S. will average at 81.2 Bcf/d in 2018, establishing a new record. Production averaged 73.6 Bcf/d in 2017, the agency said in its short-term energy outlook report.
