Vipera win “largest contract to date” says Marco Carsatelli, CEO

Vipera (LON:VIP), the specialist provider of mobile financial services, has informed DirectorsTalk of the Company’s largest contract to date, worth an initial US$2.4 million of revenue. This contract relates to significant follow-on business with one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions. Building on its successful mobile banking solution, Vipera will be developing the next generation of omni-channel banking and payment solutions, including an accelerated programme of digital innovation, for the client. In particular, Vipera will be delivering contactless payments and enhanced web banking, as well as continuing to develop its existing services including Siripay, chatbots and mobile rewards.

During its long-standing relationship with the client, Vipera has implemented its digital banking services in multiple regions and local languages including solutions for Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. To further support this growth, Vipera’s Motif platform will offer an omni-channel solution that enable a seamless customer experience, delivering focused services and products across mobile, web, ATM and branch networks.

Vipera’s solution delivers a seamless customer experience across all channels, on mobile and wearable devices, or web browsers to ensure that users can access services and information both off-line (at any physical location) and on-line through an integrated physical and digital payment ecosystem. This new offering will empower both branch staff and customers and will be personalised for retail, SME and corporate banking customers across multiple countries.

This new contract is worth an initial US$2.4 million of revenue to Vipera as the project is delivered over the next 15 months. A five year programme of support and enhancements, is expected to be entered into, which it is anticipated will deliver an additional US$2.0 million of revenue to Vipera.

This contract, combined with other customer rollouts, brings Group committed revenue at the end of Q1 to EUR7.0 million (Q116 EUR5.0 million). In addition to this the Company remains focused on executing on its pipeline which is in excess of EUR8.0 million.
