MTI Wireless Edge Limited (LON:MWE) Chief Financial Officer Moni Borovitz caught up with DirectorsTalk for an exclusive interview to discuss their new contract win worth $1.8 million, what BWA is, the market opportunity for it and how they will capitalise on this opportunity
Q1: Now Moni, you’ve just announced a new contract win worth $1.8 million in the wireless access BWA sector? What is BWA and what’s the market opportunity for it like?
A1: The broadband wireless access is actually as it sounds, it’s providing high capacity, high bandwidth connectivity. Today, the network of cellular providers are lacking the capacity to provide such bandwidth and in order to support the growth in the data usage as we all consume today more data, they need to invest more in enabling the capacity and are looking for a solution for that.
Q2: So, how will MTI Wireless Edge Limited capitalise on this opportunity?
A2: MTI, just to remind is doing the antennas for such solutions, and we have been developing constantly, over the past few years, several solutions for that and we came with an innovative antenna solution to support the need. One of them is by bringing a dual band solution which includes high frequency, very wideband solution which enables the capacity and on the other hand, with the same antenna, we provide a lower frequency that is more reliable and gives higher ability. When you go higher in frequency the less reliable the solution is so we give both the reliability and the high capacity in one antenna.
