In today’s connected world, cybersecurity is a topic of growing concern. In the United States, we have endured a few major attacks in the last year including the attack on the Democratic National Committee and Yahoo. In addition, many Americans have had their private information hacked and it’s not just about our emails and Netflix accounts. Our bank accounts, credit cards, tax information, loans, credit rating, investments, and more could be in jeopardy. We are worried that we are losing control of our private information.
It’s not just private citizens we are worried about it’s the idea that even the government agencies and corporations cannot keep our info safe. The Pew Research Center has conducted a study on 1,040 Americans, asking them questions about how they feel about and handle cybersecurity. The answers are a little bit shocking.
It is important to note that this information is from the Spring of 2016. Opinions of Americans today could be a bit darker after the hack on the DNC and a few others in the news.
