Caerphilly County Borough Council expand use of PROACTIS Solutions to deliver Procurement Strategy

Welsh Council implements PROACTIS Spend Analysis to support Procurement Strategy.
Proactis Holdings Plc (LON:PHD), a global Spend Control and eProcurement solution provider, today announced that Caerphilly County Borough Council has continued its expansion of PROACTIS solutions, and the strategic relationship between the two organisations. The expansion will enable the delivery of spend analysis to provide rapid monitoring of spend performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), as well as driving further improvements within the procurement function.

Caerphilly County Borough Council is the governing body for Caerphilly County Borough – one of the Principal Areas of Wales. The council employs over 8,700 people and is already using PROACTIS spend control solutions to deliver operational efficiencies and financial performance.

PROACTIS Spend Analysis is a cloud-based, mobile-ready spend analysis solution which provides procurement and finance professionals with the ability to quickly capture, cleanse, consolidate and categorise all spend data to deliver actionable insights. It requires little IT assistance and can be delivering actionable insights in a matter of weeks.

“Given the complexity and breadth of organisational spend – which comes from being a large, forward-thinking local authority – we were looking to evolve further with an easy-to-use solution which provides clear visibility of our spend, enabling us to effectively monitor and report against our key performance indicators (KPIs),” said Elizabeth Lucas, Head of Procurement at Caerphilly County Borough Council. “Continuing our long relationship working with PROACTIS, who already assist us in driving internal efficiencies and effectiveness, while also helping us to meet regulatory requirements, there were clear advantages to implementing the next step of the journey with the PROACTIS Spend Analysis solution and I look forward to the team reaping the benefits.”

The implementation of Spend Analysis builds on the already longstanding relationship between PROACTIS and Caerphilly County Borough Council, including the automation of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Management, Contract Management and Sourcing processes.
